The middle school in the city was my first assignment as its new principal. However, I have heard that this school was one of the worst in the city due to behavioral problems and the presence of gangs, vandals, petty thieves, and truants.

The district superintendent discussed with me the problems in the school and I shared that one way to monitor students’ behavior was installing a hidden camera with built in DVR in specified areas.

My request was granted and I was happy that the district supported it. Wall clocks in each classroom had plugs that powered them along with the covert cameras and DVRs.

At the end of the corridor was the exit door with a lighted Exit Sign. It was actually a hidden camera with built in DVR. It was a common school sign that never invited suspicions of being a covert camera.

Students were not aware that the air purifier and the librarian’s desk lamp in the school library concealed a spy camera that would capture every activity during and after school hours.

The teachers in the school were asked to cooperate in our objective to control students’ misbehavior. Since most of these spy cameras have SD cards that store the recordings, viewing them can be done with any television monitor or computer. True enough, we were able to control students’ misbehavior slowly with these gadgets.
