If you are like many of us and work out of your home office it’s tough to reach deadlines when our PC does not keep up with our hectic work schedule. Also it is very annoying when they are so sluggish that they practically die when we make certain resource demanding applications requiring a lot of computer memory.

There are actually a number of reasons for your computer running slow issues. It is in distinguishing these causes that we may come across real repairs – even the simple fixes we can perform ourselves. Of course not having to spend money is very important to us all.

Even the new personal computer may be working below normal, especially when the manufacturer of the PC installed some unneeded programs before purchase. What you need to do is to start up your PC and look at the right side of the tool bar across bottom of the desk top (this would usually be in the bottom right corner, but depends on how you have your task-bars arranged). There are a number of icons hidden in the task-bar that in fact runs in the background while you are doing your work. This means that it could eat up a lot of the free storage capacity from your computer, making it perform much slower as various applications are running.

To be completely positive, click right on the task-bar and also then select “task manager” and the Task Manager will pop up. You can even open this by pressing the shortcut “control-alt-delete” while the computer is on but be careful and simply press the shortcut key just once or your PC will reboot. From here you will see how many applications run in the background (this includes the amount of memory resources they utilize). Also, simply close unnecessary applications by highlighting the single program and then clicking End Task.
